Meet

Stephanie Kwasnica,

Owner – Operator

Stephanie received her Bachelor of Arts degree at Luzon College 1984, Philippines. Following her passion for children, she volunteered as a church teacher for children and youth groups. She has worked in the childcare field for over 35 years partnering with parents to educate and support children as they grow socially, emotionally and intellectually.

Her career started as a nanny/tutor in Singapore. Moving to Canada, she continued to work in childcare in Burnaby and Coquitlam B.C. for two years.

Valuing the importance of formal training for childhood education and to further her career as an educator, she graduated from the Early Childhood Education Program at Douglas College, New Westminster (Dean’s List) in 1995.

Stephanie continued to volunteer and work at group daycares. Applying her experience and education, she opened her own daycare in 1998, as Owner-Operator, licensed under the Fraser Health Authority, known as Circle Time Family Daycare.

She has coordinated and presented childcare workshops with the B.C. Family Childcare Association in Maple Ridge in 2003. In the same year, to expand her skills, Stephanie graduated with TESL (Teaching English as a Second Language) certification from Arthur Peak Centre.

Empowered by her communication and leadership training through the Mission Toastmasters Club, Stephanie has hosted weddings and community events.

Married for over 30 years, Stephanie and Michael have made Maple Ridge their home, raising their two daughters, now one is married and working and the other attending university. Stephanie has volunteered in her community in various capacities as well as acted in local musical theatre and has brought the joy of music to the elderly.
